Josef Rusňák
Ghost rider - fixed blade
This knife fuses the wild freedom of motorcycle culture with mythological elements.
This perfectly embodies Rusňák's creative philosophy: drawing inspiration from the surrounding culture and materializing a story or legend into a work of art through a long and meticulous handmade process.
The blade is made from ATS-34 stainless steel and given a mirror polish, it contrasts with the rich textures of the handle.
The most direct thematic element on the blade is the engraving of a skull moving at high speed, with skeletal trails streaming behind it.
The guard section is made from Damasteel, whose dark, textured surface resembles the weathered metal cowling or engine block of a motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the 18K gold granules dotted across the guard are brilliantly interpreted as the fiery tire burns left on the asphalt during a burnout.
The two sterling silver curves extending from the "cowling" symbolize the motorcycle's handlebars.
The main handle is carved from a solid piece of mammoth ivory into the shape of an exquisite wing.
Inside the metal pommel at the end of the handle, a spread-winged eagle is carved, symbolizing the untamed spirit and sharp vision of the rider.
