Herman Schneid
Fixed blade

A metal-lined lanyard hole is present at the end of the handle. This is a practical feature often found on hunting knives. Schneider never forgot the practical roots of his craft, but insisted on elevating every single component to the level of fine art.

The piece features exquisite gold inlay, where the face is rendered in gold, creating a stunning contrast with the silver-toned steel and the dark background of the engraving. This gives the design immense depth and visual impact.

The metal pins used to secure the handle scales are not merely functional; they are decorative elements. The large central pin is engraved with his maker's mark: "H. SCHNEIDER MAKER". The two smaller pins are beautifully crafted with intricate floral or starburst patterns.

The bolster is engraved with a human face surrounded by classical scrollwork,it likely represent a mythological figure,or a nature spirit.
