The theme, "Dancing Phoenix and Dragon," is a quintessential and powerful motif in Chinese mythology. This theme not only showcases his international perspective but also provides a grand stage for his ultimate sculptural skills.

The handle uses 420 stainless steel as its base, upon which Alex Gev has executed his most celebrated skill: "sculptural engraving in high relief."

This is achieved by "building up" multiple precious metals like gold, silver, and copper. This means he is not just carving down into the metal but also sculpting upwards, a highly complex and time-consuming jewelry and metalworking technique.
